NORDFORM FOR ENGINEERS · STRUCTURAL & FRAME DESIGN
Your frame designs, written down as a kit
Nordform writes down the frames you already repeat, then draws and checks new ones against those same rules. The modelling, the schedules and the drawing set come back done. You decide whether the result is right and put your name on it.
A research pilot, free for the engineers taking part. Only you sign in your name.

What we need from you
We write the kit with you, and you decide what it is allowed to produce.
- The frames you reuse: spans, spacings, member sizes, roof shapes and the combinations you actually detail, with the limits. Outside them the design refuses and says which rule stopped it.
- The rules behind them: which member meets which, at what spacing, with what connection, and what an opening does to the members around it.
- What you check, and against what: each check tied to the clause, guide or table you read it from. Every check offered has a source.
- What you will stand behind: what you accept or decline responsibility for, in your own words, for one kind of building in one country. Every result is advisory, and says so on its face, until a professional states that.
- What is yours to give: we take in only what you may share, and we record who allowed it and when.
- One real job: a pilot is measured on a job you would have taken anyway. Your hours before, your hours with it, and what the client asked for in between.
What you get
- A client who opens the design, asks for a wider window or a moved wall, and sees what it does. Every settled change becomes a version, and the notices sit beside the messages that caused them.
- Check results that carry the rule read, the version of the document it came from, and what it does not cover.
- A signature tied to one version, with your scope and your limitations written in. A changed design needs a fresh look, and the record says so. How the record works.
- Drawings, CAD layouts, an IFC model, quantities and cut lists, all from the same version, each read back before it downloads. How the engine works.
- A record of what a change makes wrong inside the design it changes. Where it breaks.
Scope
Kit houses run the whole path: a concept frame you can configure, checks that give the same answer every time, a drawing set, exports and a review. Steel portal frames, fabric halls, access platforms, pipe runs and the other families each carry their own status word on the site.
- Advisory until you say otherwise. A workflow is qualified when a named professional in that country accepts the checks, at a stated version, on a stated day. Until then each result is advisory.
- Connected designs, one step deep. A change says what it makes wrong inside the design it changes, and in the pipe runs and final circuits that read it as their host structure, including those of another company it is shared with.
- Concept design. Notches, joints, connection design and structural approval stay with you.
Engineers taking part in a pilot pay nothing, and keep the rights in what they bring and in what they make with it, as the terms say. A pilot is measured in hours: yours, before and after. Register as an expert if what you want is review work rather than a design pilot.
